The Glory of the Story

But how can I bring You glory
If I don’t tell others my story--
The twist and turns in my life,
Along with the heartaches and delights?
Oh yes, the ending must be good
But it’s the journey that should
Develop the characters and the plot.
Oh how the reader must get caught
In the tension and the anticipation
Waiting to see if the situation
Resolves into a comedy of bliss.
What a tragedy of silliness
If the characters received the praise.
Who penned their ways?
Did they act on their own?
No, all praise belongs to the Author alone.
